Historic First: The Ballers Become the Oaksterdam Blazers for Grateful Dead Night, July 31
What started as an April Fool’s joke became one of the most requested ideas in Oakland Ballers history. On July 31, that joke becomes reality when the Oakland Ballers take the field as the Oaksterdam Blazers at Raimondi Park.
The game marks a historic first in professional baseball, as the Ballers become the first professional team to partner with and celebrate the legal cannabis industry during a live game.
The on-field uniforms will feature the Oaksterdam Blazers name and will not include cannabis imagery or paraphernalia.
Another Historic Night, Rooted in Oakland
The transformation is made possible through a partnership with Oaksterdam University, an Oakland institution that has played a pivotal role in cannabis education, advocacy and industry development for more than two decades.
Founded in Oakland, Oaksterdam University helped lay the foundation for a legal and equitable cannabis industry. On July 31, that shared Oakland story comes to life as the Ballers take the field in full Oaksterdam Blazers uniforms for a night.
The Emerald Farms Tour Bus: Oakland Cannabis, Oakland Equity
The day starts at 10 AM PT, when fans 21+ can board the Emerald Farms Tour Bus for a dispensary and lounge crawl featuring Oakland-certified cannabis equity businesses, many of which carry the Oakland Legendary designation.
More than a party bus, the experience will highlight the entrepreneurs, advocates and community leaders who fought to build Oakland’s legal cannabis industry and continue to shape its future today. For those looking to experience the full day, this is the place to start.

The lounge crawl is strictly 21 and up, but we intend to create an environment at Raimondi Park that is both safe and appropriate. Any content activations connected to the cannabis industry will be opt-in and require 21+ verification.
