Are you ready to be part of the next chapter in Oakland’s baseball legacy? The Oakland Ballers seek dedicated and welcoming host families for the season.
As an Oakland Ballers host family, you'll play an integral role in supporting our players as they pursue their dreams while building a team committed to always reppin Oakland. You'll provide a comfortable and supportive home away from home, offering a safe haven where our players can relax and recharge between games.
What's in it for you?

- Become an integral part of a close-knit community through invitations to attend all Ballers special events with VIP access to players and coaches.
Host Families are vital in providing a stable living environment and will make a positive impact on the future of a young athlete. You will have a front row seat into the daily life of a professional baseball player. Who knows … you may have a future MLB star living under your roof.
When signing up to be an Oakland Ballers Host family, you assume an important responsibility:
- Availability to host a player from May through September for the 2026 season (keep in mind the player will be traveling for away games 50% of the time).
- A visit by a member of the Oakland Ballers organization is required before your home can become eligible to be a Ballers Host Family.
- Host Families are asked to provide a clean, comfortable, and private space for the player.
- Host families are asked to provide basic furnishings and linens in the spaces made available to the player.
- Pleasant interaction between the player and family members is expected, however these players are young adults and will require a private place in the home where they can go to rest and relax, be alone, or have a private phone conversation.
- We also ask that families extend common welcome courtesies to their player such as use of TV/internet, etc.
- Players are expected to provide their own meals and may need a shared kitchen space with access to a fridge.
- Host Families should have their own set of house rules that the player will be required to follow, but should be aware that players often arrive home late at night after games or road trips.
The goal of the Oakland Ballers Host Family program is to provide a positive experience for both the Host Family and the player. Our organization will always be available for support and guidance.
