Oakland Ballers Bolster Front Office With Addition of Team President Yeshayah Goldfarb and VP of Marketing Gervis Cash
OAKLAND, CA — The Oakland Ballers today announced the addition of two senior front office leaders, underscoring the continued growth and momentum of the community-driven professional baseball franchise. The Ballers have hired Yeshayah Goldfarb as Team President and Gervis Cash as Vice President of Marketing.
The hires reflect a significant investment in leadership as the Ballers build on a historic championship season and continue scaling the business, fan experience, and community impact of professional baseball in Oakland.
Goldfarb’s appointment as Team President represents a pivotal moment for the organization as it enters its next phase of growth.
“We are incredibly excited to bring in Yeshayah to be our President,” said Ballers Co-Founder Paul Freedman. “Oakland fans know exactly how important that role is to the health of a team. Yeshayah is a literal Giant in the baseball community, or at least he used to be. Now he’s a Baller.”
Goldfarb joins the Oakland Ballers after a distinguished 24-year career as an integral part of the San Francisco Giants baseball operations team and decision-making process that led to seven playoff seasons, four World Series appearances, and three World Series championships.
A lifelong Oakland native, Goldfarb brings a deep personal connection to the city and its baseball legacy. His appointment comes as the Ballers build on a championship season that featured one of the best winning percentages in professional sports history.
“Stepping into a role that aligns my passion for baseball with my commitment to the Oakland community I care so deeply about is both energizing and deeply meaningful,” said Ballers President Yeshayah Goldfarb. “I’m humbled to join a passionate, innovative, and driven staff and a fan base that reflects those same qualities as we build on what’s already been created, embrace the intimacy and history of Raimondi Park, create a closer, more personal baseball and entertainment experience that larger venues simply can’t replicate, and establish it as the place to be for 50-plus home games from May through September.”
As Team President, Goldfarb will oversee all business operations, strengthening the Ballers’ role as a catalyst for community connection and revitalization in Oakland.
“I’ve known Yeshayah since we were both 11 years old,” said Ballers Co-Founder Bryan Carmel. “He has the experience, integrity, vision, and deep commitment to Oakland to take this organization to the next level. Bringing Yeshayah on to be President is a huge step for the Ballers.”
Goldfarb’s leadership approach is grounded in teamwork, accountability, and service. A former collegiate pitcher at UC San Diego, he was recognized as his team’s Most Inspirational Player and received the John Roth Memorial Award for hustle and leadership.
Gervis Cash Named Vice President of Marketing
The Ballers also announced the addition of Gervis Cash as Vice President of Marketing, further strengthening the organization’s commercial leadership and brand strategy.
“Gervis brings the kind of creative firepower, strategic thinking, and cultural instincts that match exactly who we are and where we’re headed,” said Ballers Co-Founder Paul Freedman. “He understands that this is not just about selling tickets. It’s about building something people feel proud to be part of, and making every touchpoint with the Ballers feel unmistakably Oakland.”
Cash is an experienced marketing and product leader with a passion for building at the intersection of media, technology, and community engagement. Throughout his career, Cash has provided leadership within influential organizations like Microsoft, Apple, Twilio and Snap Inc.
In his role with the Ballers, Cash will oversee marketing, fan engagement, and brand development as the organization continues to expand its footprint across Oakland and the broader Bay Area. His leadership will be central to driving attendance, deepening community relationships, and elevating the Ballers as one of the most innovative and culturally relevant teams in professional sports.
With more than 50 home games scheduled each season from May through September at Raimondi Park, the Oakland Ballers continue to invest in leadership, infrastructure, and community impact as they build a sustainable and ambitious future for professional baseball in Oakland.
